The company is South Australian based and employs around 100 people in Adelaide plus another 5 staff in Sydney. The services provided by Data Action are both the bureau processing and software development components, across a full range of financial products, that allows customers to actively and successfully operate in a very competitive financial services marketplace. In 1998 Data Action selected a new Retail Banking product called Phoenix from the USA and undertook a significant development to make the product both fully functional and legally compliant with Australian financial market requirements bringing the product to market in 2001. This product, supported by a range of ancillary products such as Internet Banking - Loan Origination - Collections – Customer Relationship Management - Profitability and Marketing analysis, has allowed Data Action to become a significant national service provider in the financial services industry. Having established as a market leader in this area, the company now provides software solutions and business process outsourcing to the wider business market. Data Action has been working in a very regulated market but achieving significant growth through the quality of its people, its products, its high availability environments and its commitment to customer service and satisfaction. The success of Data Action also reflects the business partnerships in place with organisations such as Telstra, Sybase, SUN Microsystems, and a range of third party hardware / software suppliers.
